"Wang" is "网" when written in Pinyin. Pinyin is the official transcription of Chinese words in Latin characters. 网 means "network". Because many Chinese users actually have a keyboard with Latin characters, domain names written in Pinyin are easier to type then domain names in Chinese characters.
