On June 9th 2015, the management of the .so extension will be migrated to a new registry. Because of this migration new .so registrations will temporarily no longer be possible as from June 9th 2015. As soon as new registrations will be possible again, we'll inform you about this.
As from June 9th onwards, .so renewals will only be possible per year. So renewals for several years at once will no longer be possible.

The minimum registration period is 1 year, the maximum is 1 year
An epp key will be requested

No support for IDN. Only default Latin characters (without accents) are supported. Other characters (which are only possible via IDN) are not allowed to be used inside a domain name ending in .so.
DNSSEC is not supported by .so at this time
The name can be reactivated up to 39 days after its expiry date without extra charges.
After the end of the initial quarantaine period, the domain name remains reserved for the previous owner during 30 days. Reactivating the domain name at that point will however cost FREE on top of the registration fee.
