A .krd domain name must be used to promote and to represent to Kurds or the Kurdish region. The owner of a .krd domain name doesn't need to be located in Kurdistan.
Only educational Institutions and Service Providers can apply for a .edu.krd domain name.
To make an application under edu.krd you need to be an authorised representative of an educational institution or service which operates in the Kurdistan region and/or teaches, promotes, researches or records the people, language, culture or history of the Kurdistan region and must provide evidence of such, no later than 14 days after the application for the domain name.

Only commercial entities can register a .co.krd domain name. They also need to meet the above mentioned condition and need to provide proof no later than 14 days after the application of the domain name.
