Connect your domain name to your Outlook.com family account

If you have an Outlook.com family account, then you can connect an e-mail address under your domain name as "Alias" to your Outlook.com account. This will allow you to also send e-mails coming from that e-mail address using outlook.com.

In order to accomplish this:

  1. In your account with us, create e-mail forwarding towards your outlook.com address

  2. Log in to your outlook.com account
  3. At the top-right, you'll find a circle with your initials in it or a silhouette. Click on it and select "My Microsoft account"

  4. On the next screen, in the menu, choose "Your info"
  5. Half way down the page, you'll find the option "Edit account info". Click on this.

  6. Click on "Add email address"
  7. Select "Add an existing email address as a Microsoft account alias" and enter your e-mail address and then click "Add alias"

  8. Outlook.com will now send an e-mail to the e-mail address under your domain name asking to confirm this is indeed your e-mail address. In step 1. we have already set-up this e-mail address as forwarding towards your outlook.com address. So you should receive this e-mail in your inbox on Outlook.com. Make sure to follow the instructions in that e-mail before you continue.
  9. Once that has been confirmed, you can test if everything works by sending a new e-mail. While in the screen to compose a new e-mail, click then "..." in the menu and then select "Show From" (you only need to activate this the first time)

  10. You'll now be able to select the e-mail address below your domain name as the "From" address of your e-mail.
